Times have changed and so have libraries.

Patrons are more apt to check out a laptop to get on the Internet than they are to borrow a book to read. Or residents may be more likely to gather for a community meeting than check out a DVD.

But that doesn’t make Milwaukee’s libraries any less relevant. Which is why Mayor Tom Barrett says he’s “doubling down” on the city’s branch library system over the next few years. :: READ MORE ::
