The objective of the Historic King Drive Business Improvement District is to develop, redevelop, maintain, operate and promote the area of Historic King Drive that is within the BID Boundary.

This operating plan, its objectives, and its proposed activities are to be in alignment – to the extent that it is possible and consistent with the Historic King Drive BID bylaws, rules of engagement, and other policies and procedures as adopted by the board — with the Harambee area recommendations as enumerated in the City of Milwaukee Department of City Development’s Northeast Plan as adopted by the City of Milwaukee in 2009 — with the recommendations enumerated in the Historic King Drive BID Economic Development Plan as adopted by the Board in 2011 — and with the goals and activities that make up prominent residential and business park components of the BID: Harambee, Brewer’s Hill, Halyard Park, Haymarket Square, and Schlitz Park.
