Business Improvement District Revolving Loan Fund

North Shore Bank and the Historic King Drive Business Improvement District (BID) offer a revolving loan fund, to be used towards the revitalization efforts in the business district. North Shore Bank and the BID’s investment is utilized to fund small business loans between $1,000 and $10,000. The loans are available to qualified businesses looking to either start or grow their presence in the Historic King Drive district. In addition to the funds, applicants will receive free technical assistance and mentorship through the Wisconsin Womens Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC).

$10,000 Main Street Bounce Back Grant

Build a strong foundation for your business and help reenergize Wisconsin’s Downtowns and Commercial Corridors

The pandemic took a toll on Wisconsin’s small businesses, and the main streets and commercial corridors that housed them. Now it’s time to bounce back.

Through the Main Street Bounceback Grants Program, you can get $10,000 to help you get set up in a commercial space. The more empty spaces we can fill with new restaurants, salons, stores and other businesses, the more people it will bring into our commercial areas and through your doors.

KIVA

More than 1.7 billion people around the world are unbanked and can’t access the financial services they need. Kiva is an international nonprofit, founded in 2005 in San Francisco, with a mission to expand financial access to help underserved communities thrive.

We do this by crowdfunding loans and unlocking capital for the underserved, improving the quality and cost of financial services, and addressing the underlying barriers to financial access around the world. Through Kiva’s work, students can pay for tuition, women can start businesses, farmers are able to invest in equipment and families can afford needed emergency care.

By lending as little as $25 on Kiva, you can be part of the solution and make a real difference in someone’s life.
100% of every dollar you lend on Kiva goes to funding loans
